¿DÓNDE ESTAMOS?

El C.R.A. " Ribera de Cañedo " se constituye como Colegio Rural Agrupado durante el curso escolar 94-95.  En la actualidad está integrado por ocho municipios del norte de la provincia de Salamanca. La cabecera del centro está situada en la localidad de Calzada de Valdunciel.

Las distancias desde la cabecera del centro a las distintas localidades son:

                        Castellanos:   8 Km

                        Santiz:   26 Km

                        Topas:   12 Km

                        Zamayón:   16 Km

La economía de la zona es primordialmente agrícola y ganadera, a la que hay que añadir un sector que se dedica a la construcción y servicios  y pequeñas fábricas de corcho y viguetas.

En la actualidad somos  95 alumnos /as y  17 profesores /as entre tutores y especialistas  de E. Infantil, Primaria, Inglés, E. Física, Música, Religión, P. T. y A. L.

WHERE ARE WE?

The Rural School Grouped "Ribera de Cañedo" is a public center of Early Childhood and Primary Education, located north of the province of Salamanca, which is formed by five towns. It has 16 teachers and 71 students. Our priority: to provide comprehensive training for each of the students according to their needs, capacities and develop all aspects of their personality. Our school organizes various activities that are carried out by all our students: 1. Traveler's bags 2. ServiceLearning Project. Its main goal is to promote the study, dissemination and development of projects combining learning and community service. 3. Since1995 we have an annual publication that includes the highlights of the year: CRAÑEDO. We’ve been taking part in European projects for four years now, with projects with partner schools in Europe and in India. English Activities and more relevant experiences in our center are: 1. The LAL methodology work for seven years, learn a foreign language through culture with ICTs, mobile applications, eTwinning, platforms like Smile and Learn and The Magazine, Flipped Classroom…. A new way for teaching English. Authentic materials based in culture of the language learning country and the use of ICTs. 2. We have three classrooms twinned with an Indian school through the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. 3. EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION PROJECT, OSERVA-ACTION. Pioneering project born in our region, which consists in observing other teachers or centers and they observe us. Our school was named EXPERT center, and Observer whose protagonist in all cases is Cristina Nóvoa. The key people in this Project will be: Mª Ángeles Gil (Secretary) Ana Asensio (Headmaster) Cristina Sánchez and Cristina Nóvoa, the English teacher. Each of the shool memebers, have conditions that make a great contribution to the project: Cristina Nóvoa a lot of experience in research, ICTs, Observaction, Service-Learning. Diego great experience in ICTs. Cristina Sánchez, coordinator and promoter of innovation ... We are very interested in participating in this Project because our school has worked on several eTwinning projects with several European countries and we think we need to continue learning from other students and teachers. Our major need is the English level of our students. They have not got many economy resources to travel and to practice English in a real way. Our students´ grammar level, pronunciation and vocabulary is very poor. They need to improve them. We expect in this Project to learn more about different ways to teach linguistic skills that help us to integrate in our clssrooms. Our English teacher Cris Nóvoa carry out LAL Project, which has been presented in several National and International Congresses. We believe that it can interest both our partners and their students. The same Project is what makes us an expert center in our region. It is said, it is our main strengths because our students Know how to work with these applications and ICTs resources.
